Sometimes I use art as therapy. It's a need I have to create beauty inspired by a beautiful yet broken world. Sometimes in life's darkest moments creating beauty is an act of trust in God's plan that this will all work out for the good of those who love Him. It's also an expression of hope, God can make the most beautiful things out of the ashes of ruin, loss, and failure.
I'm also compelled to create beauty when I see the beauty all around and I take in the simple joys and blessings here in this moment. When my soul is bursting with light I can't help but try to capture a taste of it on canvas, if only to hold onto it a little bit longer and remember the goodness of God.
Sometimes I do art therapy. When I have a specific vision or theme that is beyond words I must express though art. I try my best to use the tools I have to give this thought or emotion a place to rest on a canvas.
In this shop you will find both of my approaches to art. I pray that they speak to you and give your soul wings. When you find your piece don't hesitate to get it for your wall!
