What's a better keepsake than a custom portrait? Maybe it's yourself, a special person or a special moment that you want to remember. I'd be happy to capture either one in a very creative way. From maternity pictures, birth, wedding, memorable vacation, old military photos, special birthdays or anniversaries, or even a beautiful picture after the death of a loved one, there are many reasons these abstract portraits will be very meaningful for you or as a gift to a loved one!
There are three display options:
1. A watercolor or acrylic paper portrait that requires a frame that you can purchase yourself.
2. For watercolor portraits I will glue the paper onto a gesso board that will be ready to hang with picture hanging wire.
3. Acrylic portrait on canvas ready to hang.
All options will be sprayed with varnish to protect the painting from dust and moisture.
Process:
1. Purchase the size and display option you want.
2. Send me a message with the photo you want me to work off of. Tell me also what colors you want to be dominate in the portrait. It can be natural skin tones or very unnatural. You can reference one of my sample paintings that you like the best.
3. I will send you multiple messages before I start working to be sure I understand what you want.
4. I will send you a picture for approval before I ship the painting to you. If it doesn’t meet your approval I can make a few adjustments to get it, “right.” I want it to look like your person!
Painting process will take me 1-2 weeks depending on how many adjustments I need to make and how quickly you respond to my messages. Free shipping will take 2-5 days depending on your location.
All watercolor portraits will have a white boarder around the image unless you tell me otherwise.
Note: I don't paint details in the background to emphasize the face. I either leave them white or paint a solid color that compliments the portrait. All work is done free hand.
Need help imagining the painting in your room? Send me a picture of your room and I'll "place" the painting on your wall! Please make sure the wall looks square and use natural daylight.
